Lasting relief requires a holistic approach that addresses both external and internal stressors. As a certified coach who struggled with burnout for most of my career, I’ll share the same strategies I used to finally end burnout and live a fulfilling life.

Myth #1: It’s only caused by work

While your job is a big driver of burnout, there are other sources of internal and external stress that contribute. Things like being a caregiver, financial and household responsibilities, and not doing enough of what’s right for you. They all add to your burnout and you won’t have lasting relief until each is addressed.

Myth #2: All you need is rest

You might’ve tried taking more time off to have some relief and recover from the stress, but what happens when you get back to work? The stress, the overwhelm, the dread… it all comes rushing back. That’s because rest is a basic human need that allows you to recover. It’s not enough to cure the deeper challenges of burnout.

Myth #3: Something is wrong with me

The problem is NOT you. The problem is that you haven’t been encouraged to follow your intuition and live in the way that’s right for you. You’ve been putting the needs and expectations of others ahead of your own, and now it’s time to put yourself first. It might feel uncomfortable to do, but that’s why I’m here to help!
